United States Supreme Court won’t stop gay marriages in Alabama
Despite an 11th hour attempt to block same-sex marriages, Alabama began issuing marriage licenses Monday morning.
Shortly after the ruling, Jefferson County probate judge Alan King began issuing licenses.
Chief Justice Roy Moore fought hard to prevent the issuing of licenses.
