Simpson County Academy was host to the MAIS Varsity Basketball District Playoffs this past week. Long hard games being played all week brought the Simpson Academy girls to face the Park Place Crusaders and Simpson Academy boys facing Hartfield Academy in the Championship games Saturday night. Simpson girls won their game with a score of 47-33 while the boys battled Hartfield Academy for a win 53-22. Both teams claimed the fame of District Champions! Simpson’s Jr Varsity girl’s team had already claimed the title of District Champs a week ago battling Park Place in Waynesboro, Ms.
Simpson County Academy heads to Brookhaven as #1 seed in to play for South State title of Champions. Simpson’s girls games will be played Wednesday night beginning at 6:30 followed by the boys game at 7:45. Good Luck to both teams.
