Update on Yazoo County Tax Forfeited Property Auction

secretary of stateUpdate on Yazoo County Tax Forfeited Property Auction

Yazoo City, MS—Ninety-nine (99) parcels of tax forfeited property, valued at approximately $360,000, were placed for auction in Yazoo County and Yazoo City on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Sealed bids on these properties must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in the Secretary of State’s Office, 125 S. Congress St., Jackson, MS 39201.

Since the auction’s commencement, parcels with full addresses have been identified with images placed on the Secretary of State’s website (https://sos.ms.gov/publiclands/yazoo/default.htm) as well as signs from our Office placed on the parcels. Parcels with incomplete addresses are still in the process of being identified by the county and city.
