In our special called meeting this evening, the Simpson County School Board voted unanimously to fly our flags at half staff through September 30 in honour of Charlie Kirk and his family. Dr Sanders already had them at half staff and was planning to continue through Sunday (the day of Charlie’s funeral), but now they will be at half staff through the end of the month at all Simpson County Schools and District offices and facilities.
The Simpson County Board of Supervisors took this same action for County offices and facilities today.
Of course President Trump had already ordered that flags be flown at half mast at federal facilities through the end of the month.
Let us all continue to pray for Mrs Erika Kirk and her two precious children. Let us also continue to pray for our nation.
