Mississippi Treasurer Lynn Fitch has announced an unclaimed property booth will be available at Crazy Day on October 28th allowing people to search for unclaimed property.

Lynn’s staff will be available to assist people search the State’s unclaimed property list and begin the claims process.

Anyone planning to check out the unclaimed property will need to bring the following:

Photo ID (Driver’s license, passport, military ID card, etc)
Your Social Security Card
Proof of address (Utility bill etc)
Proof of name change (marriage license, divorced decree, etc)
If the owner is deceased, bring the death certificate, will, obituary, or affidavit of death.
