The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Luke 15:10: “In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” This passage reminds us of Jesus, the Gentle Shepherd, who leaves the 99 to find the one lost sheep and return it to the fold. Yes, God loves all mankind. We are His creation and are made in His likeness, created in His image. He wants none to perish. When a sinner does realize he’s lost and in need of salvation, there is great rejoicing in Heaven over the return of that lost soul. He can then say, “Though I was blind, now I see.” Are you wandering aimlessly? Are you lost? Do you feel the need to belong to something far greater than yourself? Then, turn your eyes upon Jesus this day. Come to Him now. Return to the fold. Amen!
