Truitt Crawford left his earthy home on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at the age of 81. He was born on December 28, 1938, to his parents, the late Willie Richard and Clara (Cline) Crawford in Simpson County.
He served in the Army National Guard and was a retired salesman. He was a member of Mendenhall First Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved his family and enjoyed spending quality time with them.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Earl Crawford and Webber Crawford.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Brooks) Crawford; son, Douglas Crawford (Robin); daughter, Beverly Spears (Paul); brother, Larry Gene Crawford; sisters, Mary Louise Fortenberry, Carolyn Thompson, Sue Owen, Ann Simmons; ten grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Stonewall Cemetery, Shivers, MS with interment to follow. Brother Roger Lee will officiate.
