Troy Monroe Smith passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at his residence. He was born on November 22, 1951, to his parents, the late Fordie Smith and Grace Cook Smith in Magee, MS.
In his early years, he served his country in the United States Armed Forces. He was retired from Tyson Foods. His favorite pastime was fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and they brought him great joy.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Kennedy Smith; sons, Casey Smith (Cori), Matt Anderson (Noel), Lance Anderson; sister, Linda Sobczak; six grandchildren, Carson, Madison, Chase, Colt, Will and Charleigh Kate.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Fordie and Grace Smith; brother, Fordie (HF) Smith and sisters, Rena Stewart, Cathy Middleton and Annette Laske.
The family will have a memorial service on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Dry Creek Family Life Center at 2:00 PM.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
