Magee Police Department Press Release
On Thursday morning January 27th, 2022 Magee Police Department responded to the area of 5th Avenue SE in reference to a subject in a silver car shooting at white car traveling in front of him.
Evidence recovered at and near the scene disclosed that Rahim Akeem Jamal Trotter was shooting at his ex-girlfriend in the white car.
Chief Jones would like to personally thank the Simpson County District Attorneys Office, Simpson County Sheriffs Department, and the Covington County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance. Their assistance is greatly appreciated.
On the evening of the 27th Rahim Trotter was surrendered to the Magee Police Department by his mother. Trotter has been charged with Aggravated Domestic Violence and Shooting at a Motor Vehicle.
His Bond was set at the total amount of $80,000.
Today (January 28, 2022), Trotter was given an Initial Appearance before the Municipal Judge where he is remanded to the custody of the Simpson County Sheriff to await Grand Jury.
