Magee High School Trojans traveled to Jackson, Ms to play Lanier High School Bulldogs at H T Newell Field on Thursday, September 21, 2017.
The non conference game saw the Bulldogs cross the goal line first. The two point conversion was no good, and Bulldog led by a score of 6-0.
Trojans would find the end zone later in the game to tie the score 6-6.
During third quarter, Trojans would again would cross the goal line to led by a score of 12-6.
Lanier would answer to tie the game at 12 all.
At the end of regulation, the scorer was tied resulting in overtime play.
Lanier would take possession first successfully scoring. Trojans were able to stop the two-point conversion. Bulldogs would led by a score of 18-12.
Trojans would get their chance scoring on the first attempt. Point after attempt was successful and Trojans would win 19-18.
