Ask any coach who celebrates a birthday on game day and they will tell you a win would be the best gift of all.  That is exactly what happen for Coach Tim Coats.  This team earned a victory Friday night against a very good West Jones Team.

The Trojans would score with one second left on the clock at half to bring score 29-22.

Trojans would come back after half ready to play ball.

Mid way through the fourth quarter Magee would score to go up 36-29. Mustangs would answer and cross the goal line bringing score 36-35.  The extra point was blocked by Magee and they would keep the lead.

Trojans would get another chance at the ball, but would not be able to score. West Jones then gets one last chance to score and Magee’s defense would stop the Mustangs on four down and seal the win 36-35.

Congratulation to Coach Coats and the Trojans on a great win on the road.

Magee will enjoy the week off with an open date but preparation will begin for the BIG game against Mendenhall and district play to start following that game.
