A hot humid night would not affect the Trojans on their first home game of the 2016 season.

Trojans would kick to Salem to start the game. During the first quarter Salem would drive down the filed but would result in having to punt. 5:38 left in the quarter Magee would complete a 7-yard pass for a touchdown. Point after attempt was not good. Salem would answer quickly with 3:40 left in the quarter on a 21-yard run to tie the game at 6. PAT was no good. Trojans would not let the score affect them, as they would answer with 1:46 left in first quarter to go up 12-6. PAT no good.

Magee would score in the second half with 10:46 left in quarter on an 18-yard run. PAT good, Trojans on top 26-6. Trojans would score one more time before half to go up 33-6.
