Friday night Magee faced a very talented team in Hazlehurst.
Hazlehurst left no questions that they were the team to make a run for a state championship title this year.
The captains for the Trojans were #3, R J Hopkins, and #11, Denzel Floyd.
Hazlehurst won the toss and received the opening kickoff. Hazlehurst wasted no time in moving the ball, crossing the goal line, and scoring quickly.
The first quarter belonged to the Indians, and they would never look back.
Trojans would find the end zone during the second quarter.
Magee took the second half kickoff and what looked promising ended on a fumble on Hazlehurst 15 yard line.
Magee played a hard fought game against a team that never took their foot off the gas pedal. Hazlehurst would finally pull their starters the last series of the game.
Trojans would suffer their first loss of the season with a score of 56-26.
