The MHS girls and boys basketball teams had a successful Tuesday night against the Mt Olive Pirates.

The girls team won 63-28 and the boys 57-40.

Behind the shooting of two seniors, Ciara Norwood (12 pts) and Jordan McCoy (10) pts) the team stayed strong all four quarters. The team hit four 3 pointers pushing the score to 63. Freshman Teosha Lindsey, Sophomore Olivia Hicks, Seniors Shamaia Norwood and Ciara Norwood each popped the net for 3 points.
Senior Jordan McCoy was the top rebounder.

Congratulations to #15 Jordan McCoy who was selected player of the game.
#23 Sophomore Trey Haynes scored 22 points to lead the Trojans to a 57-40 victory. Sophomore Javo Thurman (#24) was second man in scoring points with 14. Trey Haynes also hit three 3 pointers. Java Thurman, James Hart, and Josh King each made a 3 pointer.

The team had a total of 28 rebounds for the game. The boys are 16-17 in season play.

The Magee Trojans basketball team has an away conference game @ McLaurin on Tuesday, January 10th.
