No superstitions for the Trojans. Friday the 13th proved to be lucky for the Trojans.

Magee beat Wingfield by a score of 51-6 to remain undefeated in season play. With the win Magee moves to 4-0 on the season.

Serving as captains for Magee were #10 Tristian Newsome, #11 Cayden Bridges, #57 Jalen Hicks, and #58 Matthew Higgins. Wingfield won the toss and chose to receive the opening kickoff.

Magee’s defense showed they meant business early in the game. First possession for Wingfield would result in a fumble on Winfield’s own 28-yard line. #90 for Magee recovered the fumble. 9:31 on the clock Magee capitalized on the turnover with a 7-yard reception pass by #2 Chandler Pittman to #7 Xavier Franks for a touchdown. The point after attempt was not good and Magee led by a score of 6-0.

Defense would capitalize again when Wingfield fumbled on their own 10-yard line and #18 Jameyian Spenser for Magee recovered the fumble. 7:39 remaining on the clock #7 Franks scored on a 6-yard reception. The two-point conversion was no good. Trojans increased the score 12-0. 4:06 on the clock Magee would find the end zone with a quarter back keeper by Pitman for a 6-yard touchdown run. #1 Josh Sanders would punch the ball in for the two-point conversion. Trojans increased the score 20-0. Magee blocked a punt attempt by Wingfield on the 32-yard line of Wingfield to end the first quarter.

Second quarter#18 for Magee scored on a 13-yard touchdown run. Point after attempt was good and Magee led by a score of 27-0. 8:06 left in second quarter #3 Matthew Thurman scored on a 80-yard punt return. The point after attempt was good. Magee led by a s score of 34-0.

 

Third quarter with 6:04 left on the clock #2 Pittman scored on a 3-yard run. The point after attempt was good. Magee increased their led by a score of 41-0.

10:25 left in regulation Magee’s #19 Sam Rials scored on a 22-yard field goal attempt. Trojans are up by a score of 44-0.

5:24 Magee would cross the end zone for the final time on the night. #23 Jawon Shaw scored on a 6-yard touchdown run. The point after attempt was good. Magee led by a score of 51-0.

Just as Magee thought the game would be a shut out the Trojans fumble the ball allowing Wingfield to score. The point after attempt was no good. The Trojans sealed the win by a score of 51-6.

Magee hits the road Friday night traveling to Kemper County for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
