Magee High School remains undefeated entering into district play after a win over the Port Gibson Blue Wave, Friday, September 27, 2019.
Head Coach Teddy Dyess clinched a winning season for the Trojans after defeating the Blue Waves by a score of 42-8.
Magee continued to show what they are made of when Xavier Franks made a 20-yard reception from Chandler Pittman to cross the goal line first. The point after attempt by Sam Rials was good.
Second quarter Magee’s Jawon Shaw scored on a 2-yard run. The point after attempt by Rials was good. Trojans were on top by a score of 14-0. Pittman score on a one-yard quarter back keeper. The point after attempt by Rials was good. Magee found the end zone one more time when Josh Sanders scored on a 28-yard reception from Pittman. The point after attempt by Rials was good. Magee led at halftime by a score of 28-0.
During third quarter Port Gibson scored on a 28-yard reception. The two-point conversion was good. Blue Waves were on the score board trailing by a score of 28-8. Magee’s Shaw scored on a 1-yard run. The point after attempt by Rials was good. Sanders would score for the last time on the evening by a 10-yard reception from Pittman. The point after attempt by Rails was good. Rials was perfect on the evening.
Magee’s defense would hold strong during the fourth quarter allowing no points. Magee sealed the win by a score of 42-8.
Trojans enter district play Friday, October 4, 2019 at home against Seminary. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
