Magee varsity baseball put points on the board early and never looked back against Crystal Springs Tigers Wednesday, March 28, 2018 to win 19-2.
Another district win for the Trojans. Magee is now 11-5 on the season and 6-0 in district play.
In the first inning, Magee scored on a double by Jaden Chatman, a single by Mason Booth, a stolen base by Aimon Chishlom, and a single by Chandler Pittman.
Magee scored nine runs in the second inning. Chisholm, Booth, Landon Hayes, Dalton Cockrell, Timon Kennedy and Booth all drove in runs during the inning of play.
Aack Teater was on the mound on the Magee. Teater went two innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out three.
Magee had 13 hits in the game, with Kennedy, Cockrell, Booth and Pittman collecting multiple hits. Cockrell and Kennedy each collected hits to lead Magee. Magee had two players to still two bases. T J Hobbs led the way with two.
Magee will face tough competition on Friday at Sumrall playing Oak Grove and Sumrall and Saturday at Ridgeland.
Game times Friday are at 4 & 6 and Saturday at 1. All games are Varsity only.
