Magee improved to 7-1 tonight with a victory over Lawrence County 10-7.
Ty West was the winning pitcher.
Magee would score first in the bottom of the 1st inning with a single by Adam May followed by a 2 run Homerun by Brennon McNair.
Lawrence Co would score 4 in the top of the 2nd inning answered by Magee scoring 2 in the bottom of the 2nd with hits by Cayden Bridges and Matthew Russell.
Magee would add 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd and 1 in the bottom of the 4th.
Lawrence Co would make it interesting scoring 3 in the top of the 5th inning until Kaden Harper came in to pitch to shut down the potential rally.
Magee hit leaders were Doc McLaurin with 2 doubles, Jordan Magee with a single and triple, Cayden Bridges with 2 singles, Kaden Harper with 2 singles and Matthew Russell with 2 singles. Bridges had 3 stolen bases and Russell had 4 stolen bases. Other players with one hit each were Brennon McNair (HR), Adam May, and Banks Teater.
Magee will travel to Mendenhall on Friday for their next game at 5&7.
Eubanks stated “We had some great at bats tonight, we’re still figuring it all out though. Our guys keep working everyday to get better and it’s showing. Our JV looked a lot better and are really coming along. We still have to learn how to finish games but overall we are playing really well right now.”
