Trojans make the needed adjustments at halftime to beat the Chiefs by a score of 27-6 on homecoming night.

Serving as captains for the Trojans were #1 Josh Sanders, #3 Matthew Thurman, #44 Cameron Sullivan, and #19 Samuel Rials.

Magee appeared sluggish first half. First possession Magee was moving the ball and threw an interception to turn the ball over. Magee answered when #11 Cayden Bridges intercepted a pass on Tylertown’s first possession. Later Magee fumbled the ball. Things could not come together for the Trojans. With :16 left in the first half Xavier Franks scored on an 11-yard reception from Chandler Pittman. The point after attempt by Samuel Rials was good. Trojans led by a score of 7-0 to end the first half of play.

Homecoming festivities took place during halftime where Aniyah Williams was crowned Homecoming Queen.

Coach Dyess made the needed adjustments and returned to the field to take care of business. Magee crossed the goal line again on a 7-yard rush by Chandler Pittman. Rials point after attempt was good. Magee led by a score of 14-0.

Fourth quarter belonged to the Trojans. Josh Sanders scored on a 49-yard reception from Pittman. The point after attempt was good. Trojans were on top by a score of 21-0.

 

#23 Jawon Shaw for Magee found the end zone on a 40-yard rush. The point after attempt was no good. Magee led by a score of 27-0. Quadarius Cook for Tyler Town scored with 3:10 left in the game on a 25-yard reception from Keavon Williams. The Point after attempt failed. Magee would win the game by a score of 27-6.

Mason Smith, son of Coach Jarod Smith, served as ball boy for the evening.

With the win Magee moves to 8-1 on the season. Magee will travel to Bassfiled Friday, October 25, 2019 to take on Jefferson Davis County. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
