Magee Trojans were victorious Thursday, April 11, 2019 against the defending State 3A Champions St. Andrews. Magee won by a score of 2-0. The win earned the title of district champs. Magee went undefeated during district play. Trojans improved their recored to 20-3.
The night was a battle of the pitchers. Luke West toed the rubber for the Trojans. West threw an awesome game in a shut out victory. West pitched seven innings allowing no walks or runs, allowing only six hits and striking out three.
Magee would score their runs in the fifth inning.
Magee won the region 6-4A in 2015. It has been 13 years since the Trojans have won in 3A, and the first time in Coach Eubanks 17 years to win undefeated in district.
Magee is back in action Saturday at West Jones. Game time is 11 and 1. Monday the Trojans will travel to Kosciusko and will play at home Tuesday against Mendenhall to end regular season. Round 1 of playoff’s will be at home Friday, April 19, 2019 . Time and opponent to be determine.
