The Magee High School Trojans smashed the Raleigh Lions on the road in the third round of playoffs by a score of 35-0 Friday, November 20, 2020. The win advances Magee to the South State playoffs where they will face Columbia at home Friday, November 27, 2020.

The Trojans faced a Raleigh team that had been hot the last of the season winning big against their opponents. The Lions did not intimidate the 9-0 Trojans. Magee had a mission and stayed focused.

Magee won the toss and elected to receive the ball second half. Magee kicked the opening kick off to Raleigh. Play-making seemed to start slow for both teams. Each teams’ defense rose to he occasion during the first quarter allowing no points. Magee came to life during the second quarter with 8:00 minutes remaining when #2 Chandler Pittman completed a pass to #23  Jawon Shaw for a touchdown. The point after attempt by Magee was not good. The score was Raleigh 0, Magee 6.

The touchdown resulted in #2 Pittman’s 100 career all purpose touchdown.

The Trojans now move to 10-0. Magee will prepare for their challenge against the Columbia Wildcats with a recored of 10-2.  In Columbia’s last challenge, the Wildcats trounced  West Marion by a score of 18-3.
