Magee traveled the long distance to Jefferson County to start the first round of playoff’s Friday, November 8, 2019.

A large number of fans made the almost 2 hour trip to support the Trojans.

Magee added points to the scoreboard first when Caden Bridges crossed the goal line on a 55-yard run with 11:23 left on the clock in the first quarter. The two point conversion was no good. Trojans continue to grind and scored with 1:47 left in the first when Xavier Franks completed a 9-yard reception from Chandler Pittman. The two point conversion by Jawon Shaw was good. Trojans led by a score of 14-0.

Second quarter Jefferson County added points to the score board on a 85-yard reception from Marques Smith to Adrion Clark. Two point conversion by Jaheime Herrington was good. Trojans led by a score of 14-8. Josh Sanders for Magee scored on a 15-yard reception from Chandler Pittman with 2:40 left in the half. The two point conversion was no good. Trojans left the the field at halftime leading by a score of 20-8.

Jefferson County scored first after halftime on a 23-yard quarterback keeper by Jaheime Herrington. The two point conversion was good. Magee was on top by a score of 20-16 with 5:10 left in the third quarter. Magee answered quickly when Jawon Shaw scored on an 8-yard run. The point after attempt fail. Magee lead by a score of 26-16 with 2:48 left in the third quarter

Magee scored in the fourth on a 30-yard touchdown run. The point after attempt by Sam Rials was good. Trojans led by a score of 33-16. with 7:34 left in regulation. Jefferson Marques Smith scored on a 1-yard run. The two point conversion by Nathaniel King was good. Magee’s defense would hold tight, and the Trojans win by a final score of 33-24.

Magee advances in the second round of playoff’s. The Trojans will travel Friday, November 15, 2019 to face the Raleigh Lions (6-4) on the season. Game time is 7:00 pm. Trojans move to 9-3 record on the season.
