The Easter tornados brought an unusual find to Lynn White.

Sunday, April 13, 2020, Lynn White found something very unusual in her front yard!  Following the bad weather, Lynn took a stroll outside to check on her home and surrounding area.  As she was checking out her flower beds, Lynn found an old check folded in half as well as a receipt for a store in Tylertown, Mississippi!

Tylertown is almost 70 miles from Magee!  The 1978 check was on an account for George or Annie Harvey at the Tylertown Bank.

Once Lynn posted the fine on Facebook, she began getting messages from people who knew someone that might know someone…The Harvey’s passed away several years ago but they lived in the home at one time that was destroyed in the Easter Sunday tornados!

I spoke with Lynn Sunday night.  She expressed how glad she was to find out who the people were…but also, amazed that something that small could travel that far and still be intact.

Several stories have been posted on FB by people finding objects far from “their” home.  Lynn now has a story she can share for a life time!

Lynn was also featured in a story on WLBT.
