Tommy Tanner, 98 of Brandon, Ms
Tommy Benjamin Tanner, 98, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his residence. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1 at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee with burial following in Fairmount-Waco Cemetery in Mize, Ms.
Visitation was held 5-8 p.m. Saturday, February 28 at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee.
Pallbearers were be Tanner Woods, Michael Woods, Logan Woods, Jake Woods, Chase Stacey and Clint Woods. Honorary Pallbearers were Marc Smith, Billy Woods, Frank Stacey and Ben Woods.
Mr. Tanner was born March 2, 1916, in Mize, MS., the son of the late Osier and Minnie Tanner. He was a retired book keeper.
Survivors include: daughters, Geraldine (Gerry) Smith and her husband, Nolan; Terry Loretta Goss and her husband, William Othnel and Deborah Kaye Stacey Koenig; son, Keith Howard Lee Tanner; grandchildren, Billy Woods; Benjamin Woods; Frank Stacey; Sandra Rathbun and Holly Smith; nine great-grandchildren.
