The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 1 John 4:1: “Test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” Wisdom and discernment come from God. To be able to discern truth from fiction, we need wisdom and discernment. Like King Solomon, we must ask for wisdom and for discernment from God. Studying God’s Word in depth is essential, as is having a strong prayer life. Let us immerse ourselves in both; then, when we need to test a spirit or seek the truth, the Holy Spirit will reveal that truth to us. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God….” Amen!
