Mendenhall High School has a new nurse. Nurse Tina Benton is shown standing beside the new temperature monitoring station at Mendenhall High School. The machine takes a picture and records the temperatures of up to thirty students at a time.
Benton and her husband live in Copiah County. They enjoy sitting on their back porch and spending time with their grown children and their grandchildren. The couple enjoys hooking up their camper and getting away as often as they can to explore other beautiful states.
Benton has been in the medical profession for 20 years. She has worked in several different areas of nursing such as ICU, hospice, post op, and clinics. This will be her 4th year as a school nurse serving the students in the SCSD. Her first 3 years she had the privilege of working at Magee Elementary School. Magee was the best work family and it was such a blessing to have been a part of that, but now I am looking forward to serving the students and staff at Mendenhall High School and getting to know them. I love being a nurse and ministering to people and helping anyway I can. Being a school nurse is very rewarding and challenging at the same time. I cam very blessed to get to do what I do.
