Storms passed through Simpson County Thursday morning, January 19, 2017, before 8:00 am.
It all started with this cell as it crossed Hwy 49 headed in the direction of Hwy 28 to Pine Grove Road.
Houses along C Stringer road suffered damaged as well as homes on Pine Grove Road. This seemed to be the hardest hit area. Numerous residents had trees down on property as well as power lines.
Greg and Leigh Maddox’s home seemed to suffered the most damage.
Entergy and Southern Pine electrical companies were on site. Magee Fire Department, Sheriff offices and local police all responded to the area damaged.
