Simpson County Academy Incorporated held their annual Stockholders meeting for the 2018-2019 school year. At the meeting, updates were given on the progress the school is making. Simpson in the past year paid off some of its debt and has invested deeply in school security. New door apparatuses are being purchased to prevent intruders from seeing in doors and opening them. Simpson has also purchased and installed new security cameras around campus. Three new board members were elected to the Board of Directors: Chris Dunn, Jacob Blakeney, and Brad Polk. Headmaster Billy Wayne Hankins said, “We have had the smoothest start to a year since I have been Headmaster, and I think this will be a great year.”
Members of the 2018-2019 Board are: Denver Carter, Skip Russell, Brien Hubbard, Joey Ashley, Gae Blain, Andy Barry, Jacob Blakeney, Chris Dunn, Brad Polk
