By James Davis
The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Isaiah 40:31: “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” In this verse, the prophet of old assures his people that their hope lies in the Lord. He is their source of strength. If they place their trust in Him, they will soar like the eagle, run and not tire, and will walk with renewed energy. These words of encouragement and direction were essential then just as they are to the Christian today. We should encourage and assure others that God is the answer for all their problems. With God as our focus, we will find the strength we need to make our walk easier, our day brighter, and our load lighter. Draw close to Him, and He’ll draw close to you. Amen!
Let’s be sure to share love, joy, and kindness today with all those with whom we come in contact. Show people that they matter and have worth. After all, we’re each part of God’s creation and have a right to be here. Treat one another with respect.
Happy Saturday!
