SERVICES:  Sunday, November 4, 2018
                         Richton United Methodist Church
                               3:00 p.m.

INTERMENT:  Sunset Cemetery

VISITATION:  Sunday, November 4, 2018
                            Richton United Methodist Church
                                1:30 p.m.  – 3:00 p.m.

Services will be held November 4, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. for Mr. Thomas Rayford “Ray” Blackledge, age 75, of Richton, at the Richton United Methodist Church. Mr. Blackledge passed away November 2, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital. Rev. Amy Roller will officiate with Breck Honea as speaker. Pallbearers will be Tommy Blackledge, Gage Blackledge, Seth Blackledge, Mike Edmonds, Rob Mills and Tommy Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be Breck Honea, Tom Sparks, Ed Clark, Joe Hendry, Chuck Blackledge, Bud Blackledge, Jeff Harbour, Tim Jones and David Jones.

Mr. Blackledge was preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Annie Mae Blackledge; brother, James Vestal Blackledge.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Blackledge of Richton; son, Tommy (Sonia) Blackledge of Magee; grandchildren, Gage Blackledge, Seth Blackledge and Brooke Blackledge; brother, Charles Cleon (Betty) Blackledge of Gulfport; sisters, Shirley (Harold) McKnight of Purvis, Anita Clecker of Laurel, Norma Harbour of Gulfport, Pat (Stanley) Gaines of Leland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Blackledge was a U.S. Navy Veteran with 2 tours of duty in Vietnam where he was a deep sea diver.   He was a retired School Administrator with 30 years in education, a principal in Missouri, Pascagoula, Moss Point, Magee, Perry County Schools and Richton. He was a member of the Richton United Methodist Church and a member of the Mill Creek Mason Lodge. Ray was a true sportsman, hunter and fisherman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Richton United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 4, 2018 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Richton United Methodist Church.
