Thomas Edward Flynt
(November 17, 1927 – July 20, 2015)
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive for Thomas Edward Flynt, 87 of Mount Olive who passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Covington County Hospital in Collins.
Reverend Foy Killingsworth and Reverend Joe Gardner will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Mr. Flynt, a Mount Olive native, was a retired state employee. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive. Mr. Flynt proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex J. Flynt and Thelma McLeod Flynt; and one sister, Olza Flynt Roberts.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Sylvia Strickland Flynt of Mount Olive; one son, Thomas A. Flynt of Starkville; one daughter, Beth Flynt McGuire and her husband, Jerry of Magee; two grandchildren, Taylor McGuire and Logan McGuire; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive. Family and Friends may sign an online guestbook at www.billymkingcolonialchapel.com
