The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.” In a world of seeming darkness, the apostle felt it necessary to remind the early Christians of the importance of their doing good deeds so the lost could see the positive impact of following Christ and His teachings. Many people will never listen to a sermon, but they will take note of lives lived out in truth and love. Let us remember that we are constantly being observed by others to see if we are genuine, the real thing. We can make a difference. We must let the light of Jesus shine through us to provide the light so desperately needed in our world. We have our marching orders now. Forward! March! Amen!
