So many people keep saying what an awful year 2016 has been…that 2017 can’t get here soon enough…well, it’s almost here!  I hope everyone finds 2017 to be the best ever!

Like everyone, 2017 had ups and down…happiness and sadness…but then…that’s life!

Memorial Day – A Time of Remembrance and Reflection

Memorial Day – A Time of Remembrance and Reflection

May 25, 2026

I always enjoy looking at the past events of the year.  “I forgot that”…I find myself saying.  When I began ‘looking back” on MageeNews.com for stories of 2016, what the numbers showed is that our top ten stories dealt with death.  My feelings on this are…anyone who lost someone in 2016 has suffered…they are sad…they are heartbroken.  I don’t think the death of one person is more important than another; therefore, I am not listing our top stories….to see our year in review…just click on any of the “headings” (inside the red box on the home page) and scroll back through the year.  We have the entire year at your fingertips.

As I look forward to 2017, I plan to make changes and move forward with MageeNews.com.  We are celebrating our 10th year in operation!  I can’t believe we have been “live” for 10 years.  What a ride.  I do remember that our very first “home page” article was Michael Dunn being named Spirit of Magee!  How awesome is that!

My plans are to add guest bloggers to the site…more short videos…and short live videos.

If you would like to be a guest blogger, just let me know.  You can write under your name or an assumed name.  Now, you know I don’t want “dirty” stuff….but I do want opinions.  I want to know how you feel…what is your interpretation of a situation.

Just submit your article to sue@mageenews.com.  You can send a picture or an avatar. Share a recipe…share your thoughts…let’s expand our thinking!

Thank you my friends for your loyalty to MageeNews.com.  I know I don’t always get everything just right…but I try.  Because of you, I am able to push forward and seek the truth!

Happy New Year my friends!  Keep those “clicks” coming!
