The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Malachi 4:2: “For you who revere My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.” I love the imagery used by God while speaking to His people. If they are faithful and keep His commandments, the sun will carry healing with its warm, daily coverage, and they will scamper about like newborn calves released from their pens. They will experience a freedom of spirit. We, too, can enjoy the same if we but trust and obey after placing our complete trust in Jesus. “When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, what a glory He sheds on our way.” The old hymn “Trust and Obey” is a favorite of mine and expresses so well what the Christian can enjoy if we but trust and obey our Lord. Let’s go about our day by sharing love, joy, and kindness with others. God expects no less in our daily walk with Him. Amen!
