I had a wonderful time with two of my grandsons and Dickey in Florida!  I have not seen Connor and Preston since Christmas…Dickey and I were waiting in the lobby of Preston’s school…all of a sudden…I felt these precious arms just wrap around my neck and kisses kisses kisses…I was so proud he didn’t mind anyone seeing how proud he was to see his Sue Sue!  Every time I see Connor and Preston, I think…will this be the time they will not be glad to see their grandmother?  Will this be the time when they don’t want to hug or kiss me?…Will this be the time when “life” is more important than family…..well, that has not happened yet!

When Connor arrived at Preston’s ball practice and Connor saw me, he just threw his arms around me and planted a big ole kiss on my cheek just before jumping into the batting cage  for hitting lessons.

There is nothing like family….no matter where you roam…family and friends…that is what life is about.

46 Years Ago, Mount St. Helens Touched Magee

May 19, 2026

I love Magee.  I think I love it even more when I come back from a trip even if it was sunny Florida (that is a place for vacations…not to live)…the spirit of Magee is all around…from the bumpy streets…to the train blowing its whistle in the middle of the Board of Alderman meeting tonight…seeing faces of people you love and who love you…a place where everyone really does know your business…and most of the time, cares.

As I left those two precious boys, I really thought my heart was going to break…it will be months before I’ll see them again…but there is no amount of distance that can ever keep me from loving and caring for my grands!

While I”m on the subject of grands…sweet little Larkin will be getting a cast on her arm at 10:15 AM Wednesday morning…say a prayer for her…and Breck and Carolyn.  One of Larkin’s arms is not extending properly and the doctor feels a cast will help the ligaments stretch….I never thought I would have a granddaughter…I don’t know why…I just always thought I would be surrounded by boys…and now I have two!  Larkin and Harleigh are darling and have their daddy wrapped around their fingers.

Enjoy the cold weather….when I left Florida (Stewart) it was almost 80 degrees!!!!! (But, the area is expecting a cold spell beginning tonight)
