The Mississippi Farmers Market Hosts First Annual Pumpkin Festival

JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Farmers Market will host the first annual Pumpkin Festival Saturday, October 19, and Saturday, October 26, on location at 929 High Street in Jackson.

 

The Pumpkin Festival will run during regular Market hours from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. both Saturdays and is free to the public. Visitors can expect all their favorite vendors and produce as usual, with additional attractions. The festival will include a variety of pumpkins and square hay bales for sale, a hay mountain with a 20 foot crawl-through tunnel, live musical entertainment by a nine-year-old fiddler Anna Reyer, popcorn, photo op display, games, and much more.

“Join us at the Mississippi Farmers Market for our Pumpkin Festival activities, where our shoppers will also find a wide variety of locally-grown produce, dairy and meat products, specialty foods and crafts from local artisans,” said Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson.

 

The Mississippi Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. For additional information, visit www.msfarmersmarket.com or download the Mississippi Farmers Market mobile app.
