The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Isaiah 58:11: “The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” The prophet of old was always advising and encouraging God’s chosen people, urging them to take full advantage of the blessings God held in store for them if they would but embrace His laws and precepts and renounce the worship of false gods. Today, we know that God’s message has not changed. Those promises still hold true for us. If we are obedient, God will guide us and make our path straight; He will strengthen and sustain us; and we will flourish and prosper in all ways which really matter. Amen!
