The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Proverbs 22:2: “Rich and poor have this in common: the Lord is the Maker of them all.” Well, this gets things down to its common denominator, doesn’t it? God is no respecter of persons, as the BIBLE tells us. There are the rich, and there are the poor. It doesn’t matter to God about our material possessions. Those will rust and decay, and we know we can take nothing with us when we reach our final hour. The wonderful part is that God loves us and showers us with his blessings, both rich and poor. He is our Lord and our Maker. What a consolation and comfort for us, His children! Let us always be thankful to Him. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, and we’re very, very special to him. Thank you, God, for life. Amen!
