The Scriptural passage for today is found in 2 Thessalonians 3:3: “The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.” Members of the early church struggled to maintain a presence and often needed encouragement in order to carry on the work of the Lord within their communities. Their source of power (God) had to be kept as their focus, and from that, they were reminded that their strength to withstand the snares of the world rested in the one true God. Let Him be our focus and source of strength today. His power sustained them then, as it will the faithful now. Amen!
