When I was out and about this morning (Board of Supervisors), I decided to visit the new DG Market in Mendenhall.
The Dollar General in Magee could take lessons!
The spacious store is filled with neatly stacked shelves…long aisles with no merchandise on the floor…no one blocking the aisle…and no dirt! I do realize DG Market is new but cleanness should be at the top of the chart for any business.

I am excited for Mendenhall. Hopefully, the new store will light a fire under the Magee store management. How a building appears from the outside usually tells the story about the business. DG Market has a clean litter free parking lot…we all know what Magee’s DG parking lot and front door area look like.
I do believe the employees at the Magee store work hard…but they can’t keep up much less get ahead with the number employed. The corporate office needs to take notice!
