In the last several months,  there has been talk about the condition of the City Barn in Magee.  The City Barn is located near the water tower and was the old Armory.  The large fenced area is perfect for protecting and housing city equipment.

Due to neglect, the barn had gotten in a mess.  One could not walk from the front of the barn to the back.  The floors were scattered with parts, signs, and just plain old dirt!

This area was behind the city barn. Now the area is completely cleaned and raked.

When Hugh Dilmore was hired as the City Superintendent,  one of his many goals was to clean up the barn, organize the barn, and know what equipment the city actually had.

The barn clean up was no easy feat!  The City workers got behind Hugh and succeeded in changing the appearance as well as an inventory of equipment.

(Hugh gives details in the video)

If you see one of our City workers, take time to tell them thank you.  These guys really are working hard to make our city better and serve our citizens well.
