Just a few updates from the prez

December 4, 2025

According to the Mississippi Business Journal (4/10/2020), “the newspaper industry has sustained steep declines in ad revenue because of the new coronavirus, causing furloughs, layoffs, print reductions and closures across the U.S.” “He also said Facebook and other social media sites have hurt community newspapers.”

“We don’t have the option to compete against that business model because we are held to a higher standard,” he said. “Based on very objective statistics, it is clear that people are choosing social media and to give up their privacy, over community journalism.”

This news makes me sad.  Seeing any business closes is heart breaking.
