The Scriptural passage for today is found in Ephesians 2:13: “Now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Jesus Christ.” The apostle is speaking directly to new Christian converts, many who were gentiles, reminding them that it was through the shedding of Jesus’ blood that salvation was made possible to all mankind. He became the human sacrifice for the sins of the world. Through His marvelous gift of salvation, we all now have access to that greatest of all gifts: eternal life with Him. Let us show our appreciation each day by sharing Jesus and His love, joy, and kindness with others. Those are just a few of the gifts of the Spirit made available to us when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
