By James Davis
The Scriptural passage today is found in Ephesians 1:3: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” The apostle pays homage and gives highest praise to His Lord and Savior before addressing matters he feels important for the Christian in the church at Ephesus. He wants everyone to know that Jesus is the Shepherd, and those who follow Him are His sheep. With that scenario in mind, the apostle makes it clear that total allegiance and trust in Jesus is vital for the Christian, and eternal life is the reward. All blessings come from above, from that heavenly realm. We, as Christians, must never forget that God is the source of all good things, and we must never take them for granted. They do not happen by chance or coincidence. Just remember that God is in control and blesses His children. The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God. Amen!
Happy Thursday!
