I enjoy interviewing people…especially young people with a mission and a goal.
This week, I spoke with Brody Blakeney who is working on his senior project at Simpson Academy.
Brody plans to attend Mississippi State University and major in engineering. Brody wanted to combine his engineering major and his desire to help others.
Brody designed and built a “Blessing Box” which is in front of the Magee Chamber of Commerce building (behind the library).
He explained that people can receive at least two blessings from the box…if something is needed…and if something is shared.
The Blessing Box goods are free. Anyone who would like to donate can stop by the “box” and add food.
Brody checks the box often and plans to leave the box through the month of December for others to receive a blessing.
Brody is making a difference in his desire to help others.
