A week that touches almost everyone in Simpson County begins Monday, September 19th…the Simpson County Super Bowl!…Yes, the game between Magee and Mendenhall.

Something is planned each day at each school!

I think the Magee/Mendenhall rivalry is one of the longest running in the state of Mississippi.  For years, the game was always the last game of the season.  Now the game is played mid-season.

The reason for the change in game placement came about as a result of playing all conferences games toward the end of the regular season.

Like it or not…that’s the schedule!  Make plans to “show your colors!”

What the high school students are to wear:

Monday——Mangled Tigers ( wear ripped clothes)

Tuesday:  Drown the Tigers  (beach attire )

Wednesday:  Outsmart the Tigers (geek out)

Thursday:  Burn the Tiger  (funeral attire)

Friday:  Red Hot Spirit Day (wear red and gray)

Ok, city of Magee….on Friday, everyone in the city…young and old are to WEAR RED!

Middle School Students Wear:

Monday:Out Shine the Tigers- wear bright colors

Tuesday:  Tigers are no match for Trojans- wear mismatched clothes

Wednesday:  Outsmart the Tigers –wear  geek day clothing

Thursday:  Bury the Tigers -wear black

Friday: Trojans are Red Hot- wear red
