Mrs. Doris Perkins, past President of the Simpson County School Board, was honored with a retirement reception at the County Office Thursday, December 8th.
Mrs. Perkins has served on the school board for 13 years….and I can tell you something…that lady love her “sugar dumplings.”
When I began attending the school board meetings years ago, I would get so tickled at Mrs. Doris…she always talked about her “sugar dumplings.
She loves the children of Simpson County. She worked tirelessly for the students of the Simpson County School District.
