Saturday, June 24, 2017, a reception honoring retiring Mayor Jimmy Clyde was held at the Magee Civic Center. Well-wishers from all over the state came to thank Jimmy for his 42 years of service (20 as Mayor of Magee).

Local merchants and friends provided food for the event. The love for Jimmy was not only demonstrated by the attendance but the food provided. An abundance of food filled the tables. A special thank you to everyone who provided food.

Jimmy’s last day of office is Friday, June 30th. At 5 o’clock on Friday, the new mayor and board will be sworn in by Judge Gerald Martin. The ceremony will take place at the Civic Center. The public is invited.

(I’m going to try and get all the names in the pictures…but may take me a day or so!!!)
