Thursday, March 15th, was a day of pride for the citizens of Magee and Mississippi. The 106 Forward Support Battalion of the 155th Brigade from Magee was honored by the Chamber of Commerce, City of Magee, and friends and family of the troop.
Seeing these unit march the streets of Magee was very emotional to me. Looking in their faces, looking in the faces of their families brought tears to my eyes. Thank you seems weak to say to men and women who are serving our country. These people care! They care about our safety. They believe in a cause greater than themselves.
Governor Phil Bryant expressed his appreciation to the troop. He recognized the sacrifice the families make when their love one is serving over seas.
I love Magee. I love Mississippi. I love people who are willing to commit to a goal. I am truly proud to be an American.
Continued prayers for the troops as well as their families
