As I said in an earlier memory, not all memories are “good ones.” But, usually in bad…comes good. When Athens Church caught on fire, I was heartbroken. Here was a church that had been around a long time…home church to many of my friends. My memory from this awful fire is the substance of character in the church members. Those members and past members…and friends…banded together to rebuild even better.
One things you can say about Simpson county folks…is we take care of one another…that is a memory, I am thankful for.
